Richard Brooks has been based full-time in Norfolk since 1995 (having purchased his cottage in 1978 when he first started birding seriously - followed by a growing obsession with bird photography since the late 80’s). Now that his book ‘Birding on the Greek Island of Lesvos’ is officially out-of-print he’s considering another work involving owls - his chief avian passion! Since Barn Owls have now been resident in his purpose-built loft space since 2008 (after a patient 15 year wait) and unusually have been double brooded over the last two years he has plenty of time to study them via CCTV! He also does a lot of conservation work placing converted tea chests in suitable buildings (A-Frame boxes being necessary for outdoor use) and anyone within a twenty mile or so radius is welcome to contact him to this end.
